China Airlines (TPE:2610) approved the purchase of 10 Boeing 777-9, 10 Airbus A350-1000, and four Boeing 777-8F aircraft for a total of up to $11.9 billion from Boeing and Airbus.
Each Boeing 777-9 will cost up to $530 million, each Airbus A350-1000 up to $448 million, and each Boeing 777-8F up to $519 million, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.
The acquisition is part of the airline's plan to replace aging aircraft and enhance operational efficiency, the filing said.
