Dutch Bros' Mobile Ordering Boosts Morning Traffic -- Market Talk

Dow Jones12-17

0712 ET - Dutch Bros rolled out mobile ordering into 90% of its franchisee locations and 96% of its company-owned locations by the end of September, which has driven incremental traffic gains in the morning, William Blair analysts say in a research note. The launch is expected to help diversify the company's channel mix, which is currently 90% drive-thru, by increasing utilization of the chain's walk-up windows, the analysts say. Dutch Bros is well equipped to support mobile sales after investing in labor ahead of the launch, and it also has multiple production zones within each location that should keep speed of service high, the analysts say.
