Dec 17 (Reuters) - HF Sinclair said on Monday it had extinguished a fire at its Holly Frontier refinery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to local media.
The fire broke out at about 5:00 p.m. (2300 GMT) due to an "operational upset", local media reported the company saying.
The refinery can process 125,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The plant also produces base oil and lubricants.
HF Sinclair was not immediately available for comment on whether anyone had been injured or whether operations at the refinery had been halted.
