Solar component prices remained largely stable in the final weeks of 2024, Jefferies said in a Monday note.
For polysilicon, P/N-type poly prices held steady at 33.1/40.3 yuan per kg last week, while output fell slightly in November, according to data from SIA.
Polysilicon production may decline 20% month over month in December due to a large reduction in utilization rate, but gradual destocking efforts should keep pressure on prices, Jefferies said.
Meanwhile, wafer prices remained firm, with M10/G12 P-type wafer quotes at 1.10/1.66 yuan per cc.
Wafer output fell 4.91% month over month in November, although wafer prices should be stable in the short term given low utilization rates.
Cell prices saw mixed movements, with G12R TOPCon prices edging down to 0.265-0.270 yuan/W due to oversupply and M10L TOPCon cell prices leveling at 0.28 yuan/W.
