Technology giant Apple is looking to integrate Tencent (HKG:0700) and TikTok owner ByteDance's artificial intelligence models into iPhones sold in China, Reuters reported Thursday.
The talks with the above local parties come because Chat GPT is unavailable in China and generative AI services need to obtain Chinese government approval prior to public release, according to the report.
