Bank OZK (OZK) can achieve record net interest income, or NII, in 2025 and 2026, despite asset sensitivity, UBS said in a note emailed Tuesday.
The firm said it was estimating 2025 and 2026 NII of $1.57 billion and $1.68 billion, 3% and 2% above consensus in each year.
Its 2025 and 2026 earnings per share forecasts of $5.97 and $6.87 were also above consensus by 1% and 2%, respectively, the firm said.
UBS said it was modeling three additional interest rate cuts by year end 2025 which should be a positive for credit trends, but noted that the company's construction-oriented loans were weighing on its valuation despite consecutive quarters of record earnings and rising estimates.
The firm assumed coverage of the stock at neutral with a price target of $51, up from $48 previously.
Bank OZK shares were down 3.2% in recent trading.
