First Solar $(FSLR)$ Farhad "Fred" Ebrahimi increased his holding in the solar-energy company to 6,876,473 shares, or 6.42% of shares outstanding. Ebrahimi purchased 1,751,900 shares at $198.55 to $200.55 on Dec. 6, 2024. Ebrahimi, who made his fortune in software, has been a First Solar shareholder since 2018 but had dropped below the 5% ownership threshold in August. The recent buying has pushed his stake in the company to the highest level since 2020. Shares of First Solar are up 15.6% year to date.

Increases in Holdings

Bicycle Therapeutics $(BCYC)$ Baker Bros. Advisors increased its stake in the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company to 10,885,357 shares, or 22.9% of shares outstanding. The firm purchased 1,485,397 shares at $13.32 to $15.49 from Dec. 13 to Dec. 16, 2024. Shares have lost about 15.7% this year.

Decreases in Holdings

Garrett Motion $(GTX)$ Centerbridge Partners reduced its stake in the automotive-technologies producer to 35,256,395 shares, or 16.7% of shares outstanding. The firm sold 2,808,988 shares at $8.90 back to Garrett Motion on Dec. 13, 2024. Centerbridge owned a 53.8% stake in Garrett following the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy exit in April 2021. Shares have lost just 1.5% of their value year to date.

Frontier Communications $(FYBR)$ Ares Management lowered its stake in the telecommunications company to 23,945,156 shares. Ares did so through the sale of 12,245,000 Frontier shares from Dec. 4 through Dec. 10, 2024, at per share prices ranging from $34.37 to $34.64. Following the latest sales, Ares continues to own 9.6% of Frontier Communications' outstanding stock. Shares of Frontier, which is being bought by Verizon, have gained nearly 35% during the year.

nCino $(NCNO)$ Insight Venture Partners X cut its stake in the cloud banking-software provider to 9,790,001 shares. Insight did so through the sale of 2,723,466 nCino shares from Dec. 9 to Dec. 11, 2024, at prices ranging from $36 to $37.51 apiece. Following the latest sales, Insight Venture Partners still owns 8.5% of nCino's stock. Shares of nCino have gained 3.8% year to date.

Ormat Technologies $(ORA)$ Orix reduced its stake in the geothermal energy company to 2,976,077 shares. Orix sold 3.7 million shares in connection with a registered secondary public offering on Dec. 13, 2024, at $76.20 per share. Orix also granted Ormat a 30-day overallotment option to purchase up to 555,000 shares at $76.20, which has not yet been exercised. Following the latest sales, Orix continues to own 4.9% of Ormat's outstanding stock, below the 5% threshold that would require Orix to disclose further Ormat sales. Shares have lost about 7.2% this year.
