Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Decline Premarket Friday

Consumer stocks declined premarket Friday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) 0.1% lower and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) recently down 0.5%.

HWH International (HWH) shares were up over 13% after the company announced a stock purchase agreement to sell 1.3 million common shares to Alset at $0.45 per share for $585,000.

Skechers U.S.A (SKX) and LL Bean agreed to a settlement in which LL Bean agreed to stop selling shoes which allegedly infringed on Skechers' designs, Reuters reported, citing court documents. Skechers shares were 0.3% higher premarket.

Ingles Markets (IMKTA) shares were down 0.4% after the company reported that it swung to a fiscal Q4 loss as net sales declined during the period.
