Color Star Shares Rise After Member of UAE Royal Family Joins Board

Shares of Color Star Technology were trading higher in the after-hours market Tuesday following news a member of the United Arab Emirates' royal family has joined the company's board.

Shaikh Humaid Abdulla Rashed Ahmed Almualla joined the board as an independent director, the company said.

The market's regular session closed at 1 p.m. EST in observance of Christmas Eve. After the close, shares were trading 74% higher, at $3.76, on volume of over 6.4 million shares. The stock ended the day's regular session with a gain of less than 1%, closing at $2.16.
