1312 ET - U.S. stock indexes rise in the low-volume, shortened Christmas Eve session. Treasury yields and the dollar strengthen, as markets continue to price a deceleration in monetary easing in 2025. All S&P 500 sectors rise, led by a 3% increase in consumer discretionary. Tesla is the top gainer in the S&P 500, rising 7%. The DJIA adds 390 points, or 1%, to 43297. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq each rise more than 1%, to 6040 and the 20031, respectively. It is their best Christmas Eve performance in years. (paulo.trevisani@wsj.com; @ptrevisani)
