Technology stocks were falling premarket Monday as the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) was down 1.7 % and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) was 1.4% lower recently.
Zebra Technologies (ZBRA) shares dropped 0.4% after it said it plans to acquire Photoneo in a deal expected to close in Q1. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Knowles (KN) shares were up 1.1% after it said it closed the sale of its consumer micro-electromechanical systems microphones business to Syntiant.
Himax Technologies (HIMX) said Monday it will debut its expanded WiseEye PalmVein suite, which uses bimodal palm vein and face authentication technologies, at CES 2025. Himax shares fell 1.4%.
