Arcadium Lithium (ALTM) said Wednesday that its acquisition by Rio Tinto (RIO) has been cleared by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which has determined there are no unresolved national security concerns.

The acquisition has been cleared so far by regulators in Australia, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and the US but remains subject to additional screening in Australia, Canada and Italy.

Arcadium Lithium said it expects the transaction to close before mid-2025.
