Perpetua Resources (PPTA) said Monday it has received the US Forest Service's final record of decision authorizing the company's redevelopment plan for the abandoned Stibnite mine in Idaho.
The company said it will now focus on securing other federal and state permits as well as project funding.
The USFS's decision was rendered after eight years of investigation, interagency analysis, consultation, and public feedback, according to Perpetua Resources.
The company said its Stibnite gold project aims to redevelop the abandoned mine site to produce gold, silver and antimony.
Shares of the company rose over 20% in recent Monday premarket activity.
