MT Newswires Live01-06

CALB Group (HKG:3931) has been served a civil indictment initiated by Contemporary Amperex Technology or CATL (SHE:300750), alleging infringement of a patent related to secondary battery top cover components.

CATL seeks an immediate halt to the infringement, 90 million yuan in damages, and 1 million yuan for infringement costs, according to a filing on Jan. 3.

CALB asserts its independent intellectual property rights over the battery top cover structure and has requested patent invalidation from the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

The litigation is not anticipated to impact CALB's operations significantly, and the company is committed to taking legal action to protect its interests.
