** SMPL says excluding the contribution from its recent Only What You Need (OWYN) acquisition, quarterly sales were about the same as last year
** Company reaffirms its annual sales and adjusted EBITDA forecast
** Also reports a Q1 adjusted EPS of 49 cents vs estimates of 46 cents
** SMPL shares fell ~2% last year
