Bowen Coking Coal appoints new CFO

Bowen Coking Coal (ASX:BCB) has appointed Andrew Mooney as CFO, effective Feb. 17, or earlier by mutual agreement.

With over 25 years of experience leading high-performing finance teams across multiple organisations and countries, Mooney will oversee finance, capital management, treasury, tax, risk management, and investor relations.

He will also ensure that the company's financial operations align with its business objectives and will be a member of Bowen's executive team.

Mooney is a qualified chartered accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He brings a proven track record in various financial disciplines, including accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, treasury, strategic planning, and audit.

His expertise extends to investor relations, business development, governance, and change management.

He has also led external affairs departments, including media, government relations, and communications, and has experience collaborating with Boards and their sub-committees.

Having held senior roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, and prominent international mining companies, Mooney has 15 years of resource industry experience.

He has previously worked in senior positions at Coronado Global Resources, Peabody Energy, and Macarthur Coal. Most recently, he served as CFO of ASX-listed EQ Resources (ASX:EQR).
