Infineon's Guidance Is Better Than Expected -- Market Talk

Dow Jones02-04

0759 GMT - Infineon Technologies' sales guidance is slightly ahead of market expectations, Citi analysts write in a note to clients. The German chip maker said revenue would be flat to slightly up in the year to the end of September from the 14.96 billion euros it reported for fiscal 2024, better than a previous forecast of a slight decline. The new projection equates to roughly 15 billion euros against Vara Research consensus of 14.59 billion euros, Citi analysts note. Infineon's guidance lift is mostly driven by expectations of a stronger dollar based on an assumed exchange rate of $1.05 to the euro compared with $1.10 previously. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
