UK Stocks-Factors to watch on February 12

Feb 12 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening flat on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.04%.

* SHELL: Climate activist group Friends of the Earth Netherlands is taking its court case against Shell SHEL.L to the Netherlands' Supreme Court, as it continues to seek a specific carbon reduction target for the company and its products.

* DELIVEROO: Meal delivery company Deliveroo ROO.L said its chief executive, Will Shu, has no plans to step down from his role.

* NIESR: Britain is set for solid growth and falling inflation this year but the Bank of England has little scope to cut interest rates further, The National Institute of Economic and Social Research predicted on Wednesday.

* OIL: Oil prices fell on Wednesday as an industry report showed an increase in U.S. crude stockpiles and tariff worries weighed on sentiment

* METALS: Aluminium prices fell amid concerns about the risk of a major global trade war after U.S. President Donald Trump imposed 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.

* GOLD: Gold prices slipped on Wednesday after rising to an all-time high in the previous session, as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's hawkish comment cemented views of slower rate cuts this year.

* FTSE: Britain's FTSE 100 inched to a record closing high on Tuesday as gains in Shell overshadowed declines in heavyweight copper miners after U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff hikes sparked demand concerns.
