Black Sesame International (HKG:2533) expects return to a profit of at least 100 million yuan in 2024 from a loss of 4.86 billion yuan in 2023, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Revenue is seen to surge 44% to 60% to between 450 million yuan and 500 million yuan during the year.
The foreseen growth is attributable to higher revenue from chip exports to original equipment manufacturers such as BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594), Dongfeng Motor (HKG:0489), and Geely Automobile (HKG:0175), among others.
The automated vehicle chip company also attributed the increase to better penetration in its commercial vehicle market and higher income from the vehicle-road-cloud integration, the filing said.
Black Sesame plans to release full-year results before the end of March.
