News Corp.'s Dow Jones Unit to Acquire Dragonfly Intelligence, Oxford Analytica for $40 Million

News Corp. (NWS) unit Dow Jones said Monday that it has agreed to acquire Dragonfly Intelligence and Oxford Analytica from FiscalNote Holdings (NOTE) for $40 million.

Dow Jones said the acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approval in Austria and customary closing conditions, is expected to close in Q1 and that News Corp. expects to receive a $4 million tax benefit related to the deal.

Dragonfly is a provider of geopolitical and security intelligence, and Oxford Analytica provides macroeconomic and geopolitical risk analysis, the company said.

Shares of FiscalNote were up more than 6% in recent premarket activity, while News Corp. gained 1.5%.
