Consumer stocks advanced premarket Friday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) 0.7% higher and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) up 0.3% recently.
Life Time Group Holdings (LTH) shares were down nearly 4% after the company priced an underwritten secondary offering of 23 million shares of its common stock for gross proceeds of $699.2 million to the selling stockholders.
International Paper (IP) said it appointed Lance Loeffler chief financial officer. International Paper shares were 0.7% lower premarket.
Ingredion (INGR) shares were down 0.2% after the company said it is investing $50 million in its Iowa facility to modernize and increase the production of industrial starches for the packaging and papermaking industries.
