Power Construction of China Secures 6 Billion-Yuan Wind Power Project in Egypt

Power Construction of China (SHA:601669) signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a 1.1-gigawatt wind power project in Egypt.

The about 5.97 billion-yuan contract was signed with Suez Wind Energy, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The project includes the design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a wind farm and three substations, with the construction period estimated at 30 months.

Shares of the state-owned engineering construction company rose 1% in recent trade.
