0928 GMT - ASM International has limited visibility into the second half of the year amid uncertainty in the semiconductor market, Jefferies analysts write in a note to clients. The Dutch supplier of semiconductor tools confirmed its sales guidance for the year, but cautioned it is too early to provide a more specific outlook due to uncertainty in demand for some end-markets and U.S. export controls for chip-making equipment to China. The analysts note that weak demand for chip-making equipment in China weighed on the company's order intake for the fourth quarter of 2024. ASM International shares trade 2.1% lower at 539.00 euros.
