Executives from appliance makers TCL Technology (SHE:000100) and Midea (HKG:0300, SHE:000333) urged China to tightly regulate artificial intelligence deepfakes during Beijing's Two Sessions, Yicai Global reported Tuesday.
TCL Technology chairman Li Dongsheng called for labeling rules for AI-generated content, as well as clearer penalties for AI companies that fail to comply, the report said.
Midea Chief Financial Officer Zhong Zheng called for stricter audits of AI-generated videos, the report said.
