Geely Auto's sub-brand Geely Galaxy has rolled out the updated LEVC L380 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), bringing the price down significantly.

Geely Galaxy officially launched the updated LEVC L380 at an event yesterday, with a starting price of RMB 299,900 ($41,310), a reduction of RMB 80,000, or 26.68 percent, from its predecessor's RMB 379,900 starting price.

The L380 was originally launched on June 25, 2024, when it was offered in four variants with starting prices of RMB 379,900, RMB 439,900, RMB 479,900 and RMB 479,900 respectively.

The MPV was previously part of the Geely unit London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) product array, but Geely announced on March 3 that Geely Galaxy was upgraded from a product lineup to a new brand, and that it brough LEVC under its umbrella as a premium MPV range.

The updated L380 is offered in five variants with starting prices of RMB 299,900, RMB 369,900, RMB 399,900, RMB 449,900 and RMB 599,900 respectively.

The highest-priced Collector Edition variant is offered in a limited number of five units per month.

The updated L380 has the same length, width and height as its predecessor at 5,316 mm, 1,998 mm and 1,940 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,185 mm.

The L380 is a six-seat MPV, with the variant priced at RMB 369,900 offering an additional eight-seat option.

It has three options for the battery pack, with pack capacities of 100 kWh, 116 kWh, and 140 kWh, capable of providing a CLTC range of at least 570 km to 825 km.

The 140-kWh pack is a Qilin Battery from CATL (SHE: 300750), which is also used in Zeekr's (NYSE: ZK) Zeekr 009 MPV.

The model comes standard with a single motor with peak power of 200 kW and 400 kW options and peak torque of 343 Nm, 686 Nm respectively.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.5 seconds or 8.9 seconds.

LEVC was founded in 1908 and Geely acquired a 20 percent stake in it in 2006 and wholly owned it in 2013.

The brand is a well-known manufacturer of black cabs in London and is one of Geely's brands in addition to Lotus, Zeekr, Volvo, and Polestar.
