Brightstar Resources Says Gold Ore Processing Starts at Genesis Minerals' Western Australia Mill

Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said ore processing started at Genesis Mineral's (ASX:GMD) Laverton mill in Western Australia as Brightstar progresses its 2025 gold production program, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The maiden gold pour under its ore purchase agreement with Genesis, which includes the delivery, sale, and processing of up to 500,000 tonnes, will take place later this week, the filing said.

The company delivered tonnes to the Laverton mill for the first processing parcel of about 60,000 tonnes at a blended grade of 2 grams-per-tonne of gold from its Second Fortune mine and existing stockpiles at the Lord Byron deposit at its Jasper Hills gold project in Western Australia.

Genesis Mineral's shares were up almost 1% in recent Monday trade.
