TXNM Energy (TXNM) said Thursday its subsidiary PNM submitted an unopposed stipulation to New Mexico regulators to support a proposed resource plan adding solar and battery projects by 2028.

The plan includes 450 megawatts of new capacity, made up of a power purchase contract extension, two standalone battery sites totaling 300 megawatts, and a solar-plus-storage project, the company said.

The company estimates investing around $252 million from 2026 through 2028 to carry out the plan.

The proposal awaits approval from the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, with hearings scheduled to begin April 2.
