Weibo's Attributable Profit Plunges in Q4

Weibo (HKG:9898) recorded a decline in attributable net income in the fourth quarter of 2024, to $8.9 million from $83.2 million a year prior, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Earnings per share were $0.04 in the quarter, down from $0.34 in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The Chinese microblogging site's revenue fell by 1% to $456.8 million in the quarter from $463.7 million in the year-ago period.

For the full year 2024, attributable net income fell year on year to $300.8 million from $342.6 million a year prior, with revenue dropped to $1.75 billion from $1.76 billion.

EPS slid year on year to $1.16 from $1.43, the filing said.

The firm declared a cash dividend of $0.82 per ordinary share and American depositary share for the past year, payable to shareholders on April 9.
