ITT Launches Industrial Motor With Variable Speed Technology

ITT (ITT) said Tuesday that it launched VIDAR, a variable-speed industrial motor that lowers energy usage and carbon dioxide emissions, reduces costs, and increases equipment lifespan for pumps and fans deployed in harsh environments.

Testing showed that the engine can decrease power consumption by 52% while delivering the same flow, the company said.

The first shipments of VIDAR are expected to begin in Q3, the company said.
