Major digital assets were mostly lower late afternoon Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) easing below the $84,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, was down 0.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 was up 0.6% in late trading, the S&P 500 added 0.1%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.1%.
Bitcoin was down 0.3% at $83,967, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 38.2% to $19.6 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, fell 0.3% to $1,970.
XRP (XRP-USD) lost 1.7%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 1.1%, and Solana (SOL-USD) rose 0.1%.
Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) eased 0.8%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) dipped 1.4%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.250% at 3 p.m. ET Friday, up from 4.231% Thursday, while the five-year yield increased to 4.007% from 4.005%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry decreased 0.5% in the past 24 hours to $2.75 trillion, with trading volume falling 26.1% at $63.8 billion.
