HSBC to Issue SG$800 Million Convertible Securities

HSBC Holdings (HKG:0005) plans to issue SG$800 million in 5.0% resettable perpetual subordinated contingent convertible securities to at least six independent investors, according to a Friday filing.

The issuance, scheduled for March 24, is part of HSBC's US$50 billion capital program and will be listed on Euronext Dublin's Global Exchange Market.

The proceeds from the securities will be utilized for general corporate purposes.

HSBC Singapore is the sole global coordinator and bookrunner, with DBS, UOB, and OCBC as joint lead managers. CIMB and Maybank will serve as co-managers.
