China Petroleum & Chemical or Sinopec (HKG:0386, 600028) reported a 17% decline in profit attributable to equity holders to 50.31 billion yuan for 2024 from 60.46 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Sunday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share fell to 0.415 yuan from 0.505 yuan the previous year. Ten analysts polled by Visible Alpha estimated EPS at 0.47 yuan.
Operating income decreased 4.3% to 3.075 trillion yuan from 3.212 trillion yuan in the same period last year. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha estimated revenue of 3.217 trillion yuan.
The company declared a final dividend of 0.14 yuan per share, which is expected to be paid on June 27.
The petroleum refiner's shares were down 3% in early trading in Hong Kong, while its Shanghai-listed shares fell 1%.
