International Business Machines (IBM) has been added to the names of companies to benefit from AI spending, Wedbush Securities said in a note Monday.

"The clear standout over the last month from checks has been the cloud penetration success at IBM," said Wedbush analysts, including Daniel Ives. They said IBM has a massive opportunity to monetize its installed base over the next 12 to 18 months.

"We are now adding IBM to the Wedbush Best Ideas List

reflecting our incremental confidence in this name," they said.

The report said Palantir Technologies (PLTR) and Salesforce (CRM) remain the two best software plays on the AI revolution for 2025. Others include Oracle (ORCL), Snowflake (SNOW), MongoDB (MDB), and Innodata (INOD).
