Shares in Trump Media and Technology leapt, on news the parent company of Truth Social plans to work with the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com to launch exchange-traded funds.

Trump Media is majority owned by President Trump and trades under the ticker DJT. It said in January it was pushing into financial services.

Trump Media said late Monday the ETFs "are expected to comprise digital assets as well as securities with a Made in America focus."

Shares in Trump Media rose more than 9% in premarket trading.
