Expectations are growing that funding for moon-focused Artemis and lunar programs in general may take a backseat to Mars missions, given Elon Musk's focus on the effort and his influence in the federal government. But Sullivan believes the U.S. will not cede the moon to China even as trips to Mars take on greater importance.
