** Brent crude futures LCOc1 up ~1.4% at $73.15 per barrel; U.S. West Texas Intermediate $(WTI)$ crude CLc1 rises ~1.5% to $69.32 per barrel

** Oil majors Chevron CVX.N and Exxon Mobil XOM.N up ~1% each

** Targa Resources TRGP.N gains 3.4%, EOG Resources EOG.N up 3.1%, Devon Energy DVN.N rises 2.8%, Halliburton HAL.N up 2.7%, Diamondback Energy FANG.O rises 1.8% - among top pct. gainers on energy index
