Boeing (BA) said Thursday it was awarded a $240 million contract to build five additional MH-47G Block II Chinook helicopters for the US Army Special Operations Aviation Command.
The company said deliveries are set to begin in 2027.
The latest award follows the US Army's acquisition of four MH-47G Block II aircraft in 2024 and brings its total MH-47G Block II aircraft under contract to 51, Boeing said, adding it aims to complete the entire order in early 2030.
Boeing shares were up 1.1% in recent trading Thursday.
