Major digital assets rose late Monday afternoon, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $88,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, gained 4.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 2.1% in late trading, the S&P 500 climbed 1.7% and Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.4%.
Bitcoin rose 3.7% at $88,191, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume surged 166.5% to $31.8 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, jumped 4.6% to $2,088.
XRP (XRP-USD) surged 2.8%, BNB (BNB-USD) rose 2.1%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 9.1%.
Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) rose 8.9%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) advanced 5.1%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.329% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, up from 4.250% Friday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.093% from 4.007%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry increased 3.6% in the past 24 hours to $2.88 trillion, with trading volume rising almost 75% at $85.9 billion.
