0842 GMT - Shares of Asian and European automotive groups are down Monday after President Trump said he didn't care if foreign carmakers raised their prices for U.S. consumers in response to new tariffs. "I couldn't care less, because if the prices on foreign cars go up, they're going to buy American cars," Trump told NBC News on Saturday. In Japan, Toyota Motor and Honda Motor shares are down 3.1%, with Nissan Motor down 4%. In South Korea, Hyundai Motor shares are down 3.8%. Meanwhile in Europe, Stellantis shares fall 2.7% in Milan. Volkswagen stock is down 2.2%, while Mercedes-Benz Group sheds 1.9%. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
