LVMH Might Not See Much Improvement -- Market Talk

Dow Jones2025-04-01

0941 GMT - LVMH doesn't seem to be immune to the deteriorating market environment, Barclays analysts say in a note. The French luxury-goods group should report 1Q sales of 21.2 billion euros, with flat growth at constant currency. The U.S. market--which experienced an acceleration in 4Q 2024--has probably deteriorated for LVMH due to the weaker macroeconomic environment, they say. As for China, which is grappling with an economic malaise, much change isn't expected, probably just a small improvement in sentiment, the analysts say. Shares are up 1% at 577.50 euros.
