Canadian National Railway (CNI) said Monday it has received a binding arbitration decision for a new collective agreement with Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, which represents around 6,000 of the company's employees.
The new three-year agreement is effective from Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2026, and includes an annual wage increase of 3%, the company said, adding that it replaces the previous agreement and does not require ratification.
Arbitrator William Kaplan delivered his ruling after six days of mediation, the company said.
