Hong Kong's foreign currency reserve assets fell to $413.1 billion at the end of March from $416.4 billion the previous month, government data showed.
The assets represent over five times the currency in circulation or 37% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
There were unsettled foreign exchange contracts at the end of March, according to a Monday news release from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
