Martin Marietta Materials CFO James Nickolas Resigns

Martin Marietta Materials (MLM) said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer James Nickolas resigned to assume the CFO position at a publicly traded equipment, technology and services company.

Nickolas' resignation, which took effect Friday, will allow him and his family to relocate to their hometown of Chicago, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company said it appointed Robert Cardin to serve as its interim CFO until his successor is identified. Cardin will keep the senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer roles, the company added.

Martin Marietta Materials also said it expects Q1 revenue of $1.35 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $1.36 billion.
