Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said that the first ore from its Fish underground mine in Western Australia is on schedule for extraction in the June quarter, following the completion of blasting of the Bonito Portal, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Once operational, the company expects the mine to produce 15,000 tonnes per month of high-grade underground ore, the filing said.
Brightstar Resources plans to start underground capital development and infrastructure setup at the mine in April, with ore driving preparations in May and ore haulage to the Laverton Mill set for June.
