Pharma Stocks Surge After Trump's Tariff Pause -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-10

0736 GMT - European pharma stocks jump at Thursday's market open, mirroring broader market gains, after U.S. President Trump announced a 90-day pause on so-called reciprocal tariffs. The Stoxx 600 health index surges around 7.2%, outpacing the wider Stoxx 600's 1.2% rise. While pharmaceuticals have so far been spared, Trump reiterated on Tuesday that tariffs on imported medicines remain a possibility. (helena.smolak@wsj.com)
