Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSE) said Tuesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with UK-based energy developer Frontier Power for a 5 GWh energy storage framework agreement.
The company said the agreement will support Frontier's upcoming bids using its Znyth battery technology under Ofgem's new long-duration energy storage cap and floor scheme.
Eos said the partnership could expand beyond the UK to global markets, adding that if project volume increases, it may lead to local manufacturing in the UK-boosting domestic supply chains and job creation.
The deal will be incremental to Eos' pipeline numbers when the company reports Q1, the company said.
