BHP Group (ASX:BHP) reported copper production of 513,200 tonnes in the third quarter of fiscal 2025, up 10% year on year, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Iron ore production was flat at 61,800 tonnes, the filing said.
For the fiscal year, the commodities giant said it was on track to deliver copper production in the upper half of its guidance of 1.8 million to 2 million tonnes, the filing added.
Guidance at all assets was maintained, excluding the BMA joint venture between BHP and Mitsubishi Development, the company said.
The company also extended its medium-term guidance of 900,000 to 1 million tonnes per annum from 2027 to 2031, the company added.
Shares of the company rose past 1% in recent Thursday trade.
