** Hong Kong shares of China Life Insurance Co 2628.HK rise 3.6% to HK$14.48, their highest since April 3, on track for second session of gains

** Stock set for the biggest one-day pct rise since March 14; second-biggest pct gainer on Hang Seng Finance Index .HSNF, which is down 1.2%

** China Life Insurance said its Q1 net profit rose 39.5% y/y

** Shanghai-listed stock 601628.SS climbs 2.3% to 37.06 yuan, set for biggest one-day pct gain since April 8

** Hang Seng China Enterprises Index .HSCE falls 1%, Hang Seng Index .HSI down 0.4%

** YTD, Hong Kong stock down 2.9%, Shanghai shares down 13.2%
