1327 ET - With a $795 million modification, Palantir's US Army contract for its Maven Smart System is now worth up to about $1.3 billion, marking the company's first agreement to cross the billion-dollar threshold, Wedbush Securities analysts say in a research note. The deal adds further momentum for Palantir's federal business in North America, which will likely increase from President Trump's plans for an air and missile defense shield, the analysts say. With a NATO partnership also helping it gain traction in Europe, Palantir is in a sweet spot to benefit from governments in both continents going all-in on efficiency and AI aims, and will likely gain more federal deals going forward, the analysts say.
