BUZZ-US chipmakers rise after Nvidia's Q1 sales beat

** Shares of U.S. chipmakers rise premarket after AI chipmaker Nvidia's Q1 sales beat

** Nvidia NVDA.O up 5%, memory chipmaker Micron Technology MU.O rises 3.3%, and AI server maker Super Micro Computer SMCI.O gains 4%

** Networking chipmakers Broadcom AVGO.O and Marvel Technology MRVL.O rise 3.27% and 5.1%, respectively; Qualcomm QCOM.O adds 1.67%

** Advanced Micro Devices AMD.O and Intel INTC.O, which make chips for personal computers, servers and AI chips, climb 3% and 1.6%, respectively

** U.S.-listed shares of contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing TSM.N rise 1.6%

** The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index .SOX down 2.9% so far this year
